Experimental short Story board

I found this site online and you get a free trial of thirty seconds so I thought I would experiment with the pre introduction that will feature at the start of the music video. I took one and a half hours to create this but I had to use the characters which were unlocked so therefore the appearance wont be the same in the music video but it will follow a similar story line settings and concept.

Artist Similar to Tommy Sparks

Tommy Sparks-an English artist born in Stockholm, Sweden who now is situated  in Kilburn, London, United Kingdom. He came to fame on his release of the songs  "She's Got Me Dancing" and "I'm a Rope". His self-titled album was released on 11 May 2009 in the United Kingdom. A section  of "She's Got Me Dancing" was used by Apple in the iPod touch "Next Level Fun"  TV commercial, as well as being featured in the soundtrack for the games FIFA 10 and just dance 4.Tommy Sparks has moved on from solo work and now a member of a  newly formed band called Health Club.




Filthy Dukes- are an British band originated from London who feature electronic pop/ disco music. In the beginning filthy Dukes were a duo who travelled around the world deejaying but by 2005 they team up with a producer Mark Ralph completing their band. they started mixing a remixing producing  new tunes and were signed to Fiction records in January 2008.

The Hot Melts - a band formed in Liverpool often compared to the Beatles. . Instead, the young four-piece make unreconstructed pop-rock which recalls big, fun US bands like Weezer and Green Day. Their music consists of  simple melodies and song structures seemingly borrowed from 50s rock‘n’roll acts like Chuck Berry given a grungy guitar overhaul.

Cast and Actors update

Today we had a meeting in college to just confirm that all of the actors were still available. All of them are still committed however two are in a show which is around the dates that we are filming the music video so we will have to take this into consideration when setting the dates. The other two actors don't have any commitments and therefore are free most of the time.

 Greg and myself spilt up the tasks and this was on of the things that Greg was taking the lead in; he created  facebook page and added a mood board of some of the ideas that will feature in our music video .  there are many comments and here are some below:









Nialls comment gives me ambition to carry on with my music video. He, as my target audience, liked my ideas and themes. The themes however did not come across very obvious to my target audience, as shown by Holly comment. I think it is important to show the themes as the theme is the foundation of the music video and if its not strong the music video will be weak.

While browsing through YouTube, looking at various music videos for inspiration I came across one that I thought was fairly similar to my ideas that I want for my music video.

He also has girls wearing bright bold colours, however I will dress the actors in something more suitable for my project.
















I really like the idea of having a frame within a frame, creating something more busy and interesting which reflects the song and also links to Andrew Goodwin's theory about visuals and beats being in sync.
